The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. This does not mean we are on our knees 24/7. But it does mean that we should live a life of prayer. Prayer is a conversation with God. And this conversation shouldn’t only happen when we have life-altering circumstances. It should be continual.

Something that has challenged me lately is that I want to see God to miraculous things in and through my life. I may not be some Christian hero, but I want a life marked by God showing up in big ways. The only way I believe that can happen is through prayer. And I don’t pray nearly as often as I should.

If you are going to see the hand of God at work through your prayers, the most important thing about prayer is not about what you say or how you say it—the most important thing about prayer is the faith behind it. Faith is the driving force behind all we do as Christians. But without it, our impossible stays impossible. We just believe that God will accomplish what He said He will accomplish.

That’s why I wrote this 7-day devotional called Prayer That Changes Things. If you’d like to receive a digital copy, subscribe to our email list and you’ll get a copy sent to your inbox. I truly believe prayer needs to be a priority in our life.
